October 25 Tryouts Begin

Try-Outs Gear: athletic shorts, t-shirt, water bottle, mouthpiece REQUIRED if you have braces. If you don’t have wrestling shoes, that’s ok! Tryouts will take place this week Monday through Friday from 3:15-5:00pm. All students interested in trying out please meet in front of the Wrestling Room at 3:15 pm Monday. You must be on the cleared list in SportsWare in order to participate. If you are not sure you’re cleared, please show up as we will clarify your status before we begin, and give you any next steps as necessary.

Day 4 Try Outs

Here's a great conversation we had in the room yesterday: Wrestler: "I've never been pushed this hard before." Coach: "Feels pretty good, huh?" Wrestler: "Yeah, it does." Work hard, wrestlers. 1% better than yesterday, that's progress. See you at 4:00pm.

Day 3 Try Outs

Get Pumped! Keep up these good vibes and continue to work hard! Question of the day:  What does it take to be a really good wrestling partner during practice? Have an answer ready today at practice. Agenda: Warm Ups Spin Drill Stance/Movement/Shot Double Leg Tie Conditioning See you on the mat at 4:00

Try-Outs Day 2

Hopefully you stretched last night, ate protein, and drank water. Day 2 of Try-Outs is upon us! See you on the mat at 4:00pm, ready for another intense session! Agenda: Warm ups Spin drill/ stance Shots Ties Conditioning After practice on your own: Keep Warm and go home Shower Eat dinner Drink water Do your homework Stretch Go to bed
